Foundation year: 2025
President: dr Sanja Grgurić-Šipka, Faculty of Chemistry, University of Belgrade
Secretary: dr Jovana Bogojeski, Faculty of Science, University of Kragujevac
The Inorganic Chemistry Section of the Serbian Chemical Society was established in 2025 with the aim of:
- providing a networking platform for individuals with interests in inorganic chemistry across various sectors from students, professors, and researchers to professionals in commerce and industry;
- disseminating the latest research and applications in the field;
- supporting the professional development of inorganic chemists and encouraging students to pursue careers in inorganic chemistry.
We cover all aspects of inorganic chemistry, including the chemistry of main group elements, transition metals, and lanthanoids; coordination and organometallic chemistry; bioinorganic chemistry; materials and solid-state chemistry; catalysis; and theoretical chemistry.
An upcoming highlight includes the 7th European Inorganic Chemistry Conference, to be held from September 7–11, 2025, at the Faculty of Chemistry, University of Belgrade, where the latest inorganic research will be presented.
