56. Republic competition in chemistry for elementary school students

The national competition in chemistry for elementary school students, organized by the Ministry of Education, Science and Technological Development and the Serbian Chemical Society, was held at the Faculty of Science and Mathematics of the University of Novi Sad on May 29 and 30, 2021. A total of 133 students from 100 schools throughout our country participated in the competition. The first competition day began with the creation of a test in three competition categories: Test and practical exercise for 7th grade students (70), Test and practical exercise for 8th grade students (59) and Test and research paper for 7th and 8th grade students (4). On the same day, the students who competed in the Test and research paper category presented and defended the results of their research. The most successful students in the Test and practical exercise categories advanced to the second part of the competition, which was held the next day, in the laboratories of the Department of Chemistry, Biochemistry and Environmental Protection. At the closing ceremony, diplomas were presented to the most successful students by Dr. Milan Pašić, Assistant Minister for Preschool and Elementary Education, prof. Dr. Vesna Mišković Stanković, president of the Serbian Chemical Society, and prof. Dr. Dušan Sladić, vice president of the Serbian Chemical Society. The implementation of the competition was managed by the Republic Commission with the following composition: Vidak Raičević, prof. Dr. Dušica Rodić, prof. Niko Radulović, Ph.D., Assoc. Dr. Mirjana Radanović and Assoc. Dr. Saša Horvat.
