The Division of Chemistry and the Environment (DCE) of the European Association of the Chemical Societies (EuChemS), https://www.euchems.eu/divisions/chemistry-and-the-environment-2/conferences/), together with the Serbian Chemical Society organized traditional 19th International Conference on Chemistry and Environment in Belgrade, from 8-12th June, 2025. Conference main themes were Occurrence and fate of pollutants in environmental compartments/exposure, Remediation and new process materials and methods for innovative treatment of waste streams, Bioremediation and biodegradation, Environmental analytical chemistry, Environmental exposure and effects, Environmental and human health risk assessment and Societal challenges related to environmental chemistry in education, food science, and circular economy.

Four well attended pre-conference satellite events related to emerging environmental topics (Environmental fate and exposure risks caused by polymer additives, Poly- and perfluoroalkyl substances, Scientific writing and Water reuse) took place on Sunday, 7th of June, before the opening ceremony.
The ICCE 2025 hosted 332 delegates from 36 countries from all over the world. They presented in total 176 oral and 156 poster presentations. Majority of them is freely available in the open access E-book of abstracts (https://cherry.chem.bg.ac.rs/handle/123456789/7084).
Foundation Evertéa provided registration grants for several young researchers and PhD students.

The programme had 5 plenary lectures delivered by Branimir Jovančićević (Serbia), Begoña Jiménez (Spain), Mathias Ulbricht (Germany), Ester Heath (Slovenia) and George Cobb (USA). Furthermore, two distinguished speakers from the American Chemical Society, Virender Kumar Sharma and John Giesy were invited to give the talks. 14 excellent keynote presentations were delivered in 14 sessions that were running for four days (2-3 sessions in parallel). Details are available at the conference webpage (https://icce2025.com/meet-the-speakers/) and in the E-book of Abstracts, (https://cherry.chem.bg.ac.rs/handle/123456789/7084).
In addition to regular scientific programme, special Editorial Panel was organized to meet the Editors of several leading journals in the field of Environmental chemistry and discuss all the relevant issues with the researchers directly. From the September 1st, Springer journal Environmental Science and Pollution Research will launch the call for Special issue on Environmental Chemistry and Sustainability where the conference participants will have the possibility to submit the manuscripts. Guest editors will be Ivana Ivančev-Tumbas, Vladimir Beškoski, Roland Kallenborn, Gerhard Lammel and Silvia Lacorte. More details you can find in the Call for papers at the link https://link.springer.com/journal/11356/updates/27784498.

In the venue hall, the exhibition of our sponsors and supporters was running all the time facilitating direct meetings with the participants.
Moreover, the contest for young researchers and PhD students for three best oral and three best poster presentations was organized by the EuChemS DCE. For that occasion, Springer kindly provided the awards in the form of book vouchers. Best oral presentations were communicated by Francois Burgay, Martina Napolitano and Maximilian Clément Eiser while the awardees for the best poster presentations are Ana Piera-Santacruz, Ardiana Kajtazi and Ondrej Parizek.

The awards were presented at the closing ceremony, just before the invitation to the next, 20th ICCE 2027 that will be held in Gdanjsk, Poland.
